A Busy Day!

Baxter was a busy pup today. Check out the sighting map to the right to see all the places he was seen. He was exploring around the point of escape in the morning, then a little further south down to Chesapeake St. during the afternoon, and then back up towards his fosters' home on Fessenden St. again in the evening. His foster even saw him right behind her house again at around 6:30 PM!

Also check out the map to see what's been flyered and what hasn't. As you can see we need a ton of help covering this area - preferably before the blizzard tomorrow afternoon. If you can help at all please let us know. Thanks!

One thing to keep in mind - if you see him please don't chase him! He's super scared right now and we don't want to scare him further away or into traffic. If you see him crouch or sit down and make yourself as small as possible and toss treats in his direction. We'll be posting some other tips for sightings shortly.

  1. It sounds promising that he's kind of returned to the foster home, even considering how short his stay was. Make sure to set up a food station and keep it WELL stocked. Maybe if he keeps having positive experiences, he'll remain very close by.

  3. Pat - no we haven't linked to the flyer yet - we will soon (hopefully). I can email you the flyer if you want to print some and help flyer. The foster has plenty of plastic page protectors and staple guns and tape for volunteers. She's going to be making more copies of the flyer this morning.

  4. I emailed one of the craigslist ad posts, but I saw him this morning (2/5) around 8:15 am at the park on Ellicott and CT Ave right by the fire station.

  5. Meagan - thank you! Is that the park that's near the church (sort of between CT and 36th)?

  6. try using www.findtoto.com.. it cost a little money but it sends a telephone message to different size areas where you think he might be and people can keep an eye out for him. it works.. my sister used it when her parrot flew off. Between find toto and craigs list the parrot was found and returned home.
